At Drivezy, we aim to provide a smooth booking experience. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the rules for cancellations, refund eligibility, processing timelines, and modification terms. By booking a vehicle with Drivezy, you agree to the policy mentioned below.
Cancellation Timeline Rules
Customers can cancel their booking through Drivezy’s website, app, or customer support. Cancellation charges depend on how close the cancellation is made to the pickup time.
Cancellation charges may apply as follows:
- More than 24 hours before pickup: Minimal cancellation fee may apply.
- 12 to 24 hours before pickup: Partial refund may be provided.
- Less than 12 hours before pickup: Refund may not be applicable.
- After pickup time / No-show: No refund will be issued.
Drivezy reserves the right to update cancellation timelines based on vehicle category, seasonal demand, and service conditions.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds are applicable only if the booking is cancelled within the allowed timeline and meets Drivezy’s eligibility conditions. Refunds are generally provided for prepaid bookings after deducting cancellation charges, service fees, or transaction charges.
Refund may be eligible in cases such as:
- Customer cancels within the allowed timeline
- Booking is cancelled by Drivezy due to vehicle unavailability
- Vehicle delivery is delayed beyond acceptable time limits
- Technical issues from Drivezy side that prevent service delivery
Refund eligibility depends on booking type, rental duration, and offer-based pricing.
Processing Time for Refunds
Once the cancellation is approved, Drivezy initiates the refund process immediately. However, the time taken to reflect the refund depends on banks and payment methods.
Refund processing time:
- UPI / Wallet: 2 to 7 working days
- Debit/Credit Card: 5 to 10 working days
- Net Banking: 3 to 7 working days
Drivezy is not responsible for delays caused by banks or third-party payment gateway systems.
No Refund Cases
Drivezy does not provide refunds in certain cases where service loss occurs due to customer negligence or violation of rules.
No refund will be given if:
- Customer cancels after pickup time
- Customer does not arrive for pickup (No-show)
- Booking is cancelled due to invalid documents or fake driving license
- Customer fails verification checks
- Customer violates Drivezy Terms & Conditions
- Vehicle is seized due to illegal usage during booking period
- Rental ends early by customer choice (no partial refund for unused time)
Emergency Cancellation Cases
Drivezy understands emergencies can happen. In special cases, Drivezy may consider partial refunds or rescheduling, but only after proper verification.
Emergency cases may include:
- Medical emergencies (with valid proof)
- Natural disasters or road closures
- Government restrictions, lockdowns, or curfews
- Serious accidents or unexpected legal restrictions
Emergency cancellations are reviewed case-by-case. Drivezy has full authority to approve or reject emergency refund requests.
Booking Modification Rules
Customers may request booking modifications such as pickup time change, drop-off time change, or booking extension. Modification approval depends on vehicle availability and operational conditions.
Modification rules:
- Changes must be requested before pickup time.
- Extensions are allowed only if the vehicle is not pre-booked by another customer.
- Extra rental charges will apply for extended hours/days.
- Pickup location or vehicle category change may require additional payment.
- If modification is not possible, the customer may cancel as per cancellation policy.
Drivezy reserves the right to refuse modifications if the request affects service quality or availability.

Refunds and cancellations are subject to Drivezy internal verification and service rules. Drivezy reserves the right to change this policy anytime without prior notice.
